CERRO DEL HIERRO, NATURAL MONUMENT

The Cerro del Hierro Natural Monument is located on horseback between the municipalities of Constantina and San Nicolás del Puerto, in the Natural Park of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla and very close to the Cascada del Huesna Natural Monument. It shelters a spectacular landscape where the action of nature and man combines, the final result of which has revealed a paleokarst of great beauty and scientific and didactic interest. Also, in its interior there are plant and animal species of great singularity immersed in a very well preserved cork oak forest, dotted with interesting trees such as quejigo and melojo oak.

Enjoy a hiking route of 8 kms. visiting the Cerro del Hierro Natural Monument, the source of the Hueznar River and the Huéznar Waterfalls. An ideal activity for families and groups in a privileged natural environment of the province of Seville.
