Pedro de Castro as Archbishop of Granada, some ovens from the Roman era were discovered on the mountain called Ilipulitano, in which<\/span> <strong>the remains were found with a tomb plate that indicated they corresponded to Cecilio, Martyr and first Bishop. of Ill\u00edberis (present-day Granada)<\/strong><span>. A discovery for which years later, Mount Ilipulitano was recognized as Monte Sacro, Sacromonte&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With this fascinating story about Christianity in <em>Eastern Andalusia<\/em>, we begin the visit with pickup at a hotel or apartment in <strong>Granada.<\/strong> Upon arrival, we begin the visit to the different spaces of the abbey. A little-known place but with an exceptional historical value, we will visit the <strong>Holy Caves<\/strong> where the <em>plumbeum books<\/em> and the remains of the martyr Cecilio were found.
