After check-in. Guided tour of the city of C\u00f3rdoba to start the Roman Betic itinerary. Following the most important enclaves, we will visit the Roman Forum and the thistles that distributed the city, reaching the highest area, the Plaza de las Tendillas, today a busy and lively place where the city runs. We continue the visit until we reach the intramural area to visit the mosque-cathedral, the top architecture of the Caliphate where the primitive basilica of Visigothic origin of San Vicente is hidden under its feet.<\/p>\n<p>The Puerta del Puente and the Roman bridge is one of the most photographed images of the city, we will walk along the riverbank to learn about all these architectural elements of the city. We finish the visit with a walk through streets and squares until we reach the Roman theater, where after your visit we will taste a wine from the land of D.O. One of the most important axes of the subbetic with places of metallurgical and agrarian importance, the subbetic was characterized by olive oil. During the tour, we will cross natural spaces such as the Sierras Subb\u00e9ticas Natural Park where the itinerary, true to our philosophy, we do without haste, making necessary stops to enjoy the landscapes and those geographical or heritage elements that we will find on the route .<\/p>\n<p>After a good breakfast, we go on a full-day excursion to visit the main sites in the area. Starting with Puente Genil. This city contributed to the Republic and later to the Empire one of the best olive oils in the area. Proof of this is the important nucleus that it once had and that today we can enjoy with a visit to the Roman villa of Fuente \u00c1lamo. Continuing with our tour and we move to Almedinilla where we find two places of important historical and patrimonial value due to their state of conservation. We are talking about the Roman town of El Ruedo and the Iberian-Roman town of Cerro de la Cruz. During the visit, we will be able to check the different architectural structures related to the construction periods from one city to another. We highlight the necropolis and the perfect state of conservation the &#8220;urban pars&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In Almedinilla we can taste gastronomic dishes of Roman origin, the city in the month of August also, every weekend, its bars and restaurant only offer this type of food, as well as activities.<\/p>\n<p>We finish the itinerary visiting Torreparedones, located in a privileged enclave, here we find a Roman colony in very good conservation conditions. We will visit the Forum, the Roman Market, the Civil Basilica and the Temple.<\/p>\n<p>At the end, we return to C\u00f3rdoba. After breakfast, we check-out and start the trip visiting the city of \u00c9cija (Astigi).<\/p>\n<p>Known as the &#8220;pan of Andalusia&#8221; or the &#8220;city of towers&#8221;, \u00c9cija has a Roman legacy perhaps one of the most relevant in the peninsula in terms of industry and agriculture. The olive oil that was transported to the Empire departed from here in barges and later in larger ships. Thousands of amphoras found in the Palatino bear witness to the olive growing importance of the countryside and \u00c9cija as a fundamental axis, becoming the head of a legal convent.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, we will make a guided tour of the historic center visiting the Roman pond located in the basement of the city, in the Plaza de Espa\u00f1a and we will visit the History Museum, discovering the impressive mosaics and one of the key and most important pieces, the \u201cwounded Amazon\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>After the visit, we continue the trip to the city of Osuna (Urso). We will visit the Roman necropolis and the quarries, lands of the Ancient Urso from where the stone was extracted for the constructions even before the Roman occupation and that today, these stones are part of and are the legacy of stately buildings of the city. In these quarries, the unique \u201cCoto de las Canteras\u201d is located, known as \u201cLa Petra de Andaluc\u00eda\u201d for its spectacular stone reliefs inside an immense rocky block and where we will make a guided visit inside. As a curiosity throughout these years, countless celebrities have passed through this space: Mario Vargas Llosa, Antonio Gala, Jes\u00fas Quintero; Artists like Antonio Orozco, Manuel Cuevas, Jos\u00e9 Merc\u00e9, Raphael, C\u00f3mplices,\u2026 for their incredible acoustics.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing with the visit to the city, we cannot miss the visit to the Collegiate Church, a masterpiece of the Baroque and with artistic pieces of great value inside.<\/p>\n<p>We continue with our trip to Carmona (Carmo), upon arrival, we have lunch.<\/p>\n<p>After lunch, we will take a guided walk through one of the most important cities (strategically) in the countryside. Its foundation dates back more than 5000 years, making it one of the oldest in Europe. Its heritage and historical legacy of great value will make us know the Puerta del Alc\u00e1zar of Seville, of Carthaginian origin but later perfected by the Romans, the beautiful Roman door of C\u00f3rdoba together with the old Jewish quarter will be other places of interest and very important to visit.<\/p>\n<p>We continue the tour until we reach Seville, where we will check-in. Seville &#8211; It\u00e1lica&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In the morning, after a good breakfast, we will move to Italica, a few kilometers from Seville.<\/p>\n<p>The Roman city of It\u00e1lica, located in the Lower Guadalquivir, halfway between Seville (Hispalis) and Alcal\u00e1 del R\u00edo (Ilipa), in present-day Santiponce, very close to the routes that connected with the mining area of \u200b\u200bthe Sierra Norte from Seville and Huelva. It played an important strategic role, both politically-military and economically, during the High Roman Empire. Proof of this is that it came to occupy an area of \u200b\u200bapproximately 52 hectares.<\/p>\n<p>The origins of the Archaeological Ensemble of It\u00e1lica date back to 206 BC, when General Publio Cornelio Scipio, in the context of the Second Punic War, defeated the Carthaginians at the Battle of Ilipa and established a detachment of legionaries.<\/p>\n<p>The city of It\u00e1lica has a splendid number of urban elements that we will visit, among them: the main thermal baths, the House of the Birds, a bread oven, the House of the Planetarium &#8230; ending with the impressive Roman amphitheater, the third largest in the empire with a capacity for 26,000 people and that has been the scene of several cinematographic recordings.<\/p>\n<p>After the visit, we move to Seville for lunch (free), at the end, we will visit Roman Seville. The city of C\u00e1diz (Gades) offers us a picture as a city that looks out to sea, but also inland as an entry connection to the Guadalquivir.
